Description
William Wordsworth's writing chair: writing chair/corner chair/cutlass chair with flat arms. Deeply carved bow has tablet with carved ends set centrally upon it. The back has two panels with pierced motifs and three bevelled columns. Seat upholstered in red fabric with a rose pattern. Front seat rail with undulating carving along the lower edge. Square tapering ash legs with block-shaped feet. Originally owned by William Wordsworth.
